INSTRUCTIONS
Do you need to backtrack to have some of the basics of meditation explained?
The steps:
FOCUS
A cloud will appear from the left. Let your focus go past the window, to concentrate on the cloud in the distance.
BREATHE
As the cloud appears, take a deep breath, right down low into the bottom of your lungs.
Keep breathing in until the cloud disappears.
LISTEN
When the cloud reappears, exhale. Long and slow. Listen to the air as it leaves your lips. Continue to exhale until the cloud disappears.
REPEAT
Repeat, over and over again. Concentrate on the cloud.
In an ideal world (ie on an ideally set up browser), the cloud will pass at the same rate as the breathing of a deeply relaxed person. Browsers vary, of course, so the rate of the cloud's passing may also vary. If you find the speed uncomfortably slow, don't lose sleep over it. Just concentrate, and find your own rhythm.
KEEP GOING
Keep going for 20 minutes. If possible, listen to some deeply entrancing music at the same time. Through headphones works best for most people.
When your concentration strays, which it will, simply guide it back to object of your concentration.
